Terms & Conditions

These terms describe use of our website and general expectations for private charters with Tail Runner Charters in St. John, US Virgin Islands.

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Our services and website

Tail Runner Charters is the charter business; M/V Ballyhoo is the boat. We offer private inshore fishing, fly fishing, and snorkel/fish combo trips. Website descriptions and gallery photos illustrate our services and previous trips; they do not guarantee a particular catch, wildlife sighting, location, or future conditions.

Use the website lawfully and provide accurate information when contacting us or booking. Do not interfere with website security, submit fraudulent inquiries, or copy or reuse our photographs, branding, or other content without permission, except as permitted by law.

Reservations and instant confirmation

Book directly through FareHarbor using the booking links on our website. Select an available charter and date and complete the booking process to receive instant confirmation. An inquiry submission, inquiry acknowledgement email, or conversation about availability is not a confirmed reservation.

Review your confirmation for the date, trip, guest count, pickup arrangements, and any applicable booking conditions. Contact us promptly if a detail is incorrect. FareHarbor’s own terms also apply to use of its booking tools.

Prices, payment, and cancellation

Your card information is held to secure your reservation. Your card is charged after the trip, not at booking. FareHarbor shows the small service fee and full booking total at checkout before you complete your reservation.

Review the current price, any taxes or fees, payment requirements, and cancellation or refund conditions shown during FareHarbor booking before completing your reservation. The conditions presented for your booking apply to that reservation; these general website terms do not create an additional deposit, cancellation deadline, or refund guarantee.

Fuel is included on every charter with no fuel surcharge. A 20% gratuity on the charter price is customary and appreciated. If you have questions about charges, changing a booking, or cancellation, call or text us before completing your booking or as soon as your plans change.

Trip planning and conditions

Pickup arrangements and trip details should be checked in your booking confirmation and pre-trip communication. Weather, sea conditions, and safety considerations may affect the route, fishing techniques, or activities. The captain determines safe onboard operations. For weather-related changes or cancellations, contact us about the conditions that apply to your booking rather than assuming an automatic refund or reschedule.

Fishing, boating, swimming, and snorkeling involve inherent risks. Follow crew instructions, use required safety equipment, and tell us before your trip about relevant needs or concerns. Participate only in activities appropriate to your abilities. Nothing on this page replaces a separate charter agreement or waiver, if one is provided, or limits rights that cannot be limited by applicable law.

Guest and onboard policies
